Guest Column: 'Allah the Almighty will be your guardian'

Shaheed Abul Kader Molla is one of the prominent Islamic leaders in Bangladesh. Today he has been executed by this brutal anti-Islamic government of Bangladesh. This is one of barbaric acts of this government in the series of its anti- Islamic activities. This government has been murdering Islamic scholars, Islamic clerics and Islamic workers in recent times: hundreds of Islamic workers have been butchered in recent time by this ruthless government. Whatever reasons they have cited for this abrupt execution, it is obvious for any sound person that this politically motivated a broad daylight revenge for some political gains. It can be categorically said that this is mere political vengeance by this ruthless government. It is indeed, politically motivated an act of barbarism.

It is allegedly claimed that Shaheed Abdul Kader Mollah has incited political violence in 1971 independence wars. Why is now this government suddenly coming up with this verdict? It has been more than 40 years and successive government did not do anything about it and yet now it is a matter of priority. This is nothing but mere political manipulation and twist of this government week before the election to incite nationalistic feeling among the people to win dirty votes. Time is crucial to grasp this type political manoeuvring. Shaheed Abdul Kader Mollah hails from respected religious family and he dedicated his life for Islam. The most part of his youthful life was dedicated for Islamic dawa works. He actively involved and engaged in Islamic movement and today he sacrificed his life for Islam. It is merely because of his Islamic ideas and Islamic mission he was executed by the political thugs of this government.

You may have killed one Molla and yet, with the sacrifices of his life he may have planted the seeds of Shahada in hearts and minds of millions of Bangladesh Islamic workers. No doubt his Shahadah in the path of Islam will motivate millions of youth around the world to work for Islam. He is indeed a Sayed Qutub of Bangladesh. With his Shahada his name and fame will be remembered for ever by billions of devoted Muslims around the world. His name will be recorded in the history of Islam in Bangladesh and he has indeed created a history by his sacrifice for Islam.

He lived and died for an Islamic mission with clear vision in mind and heart His life was a purposeful life and he wanted to see Islamic community in Bangladesh live in accordance with values and principle of true Islam and yet, this so called secularist government in Bangladesh did not tolerate the growth and development of Islamic movement in Bangladesh and it continuously opposed Islamic workers and scholars of Islam. His life sacrifice will boost Islamic feeling and moral of millions of youth in the world to emulate him and take him as role model for our Islamic workers all over the world. His last words and sentence are so powerful and impressive.

In His last few words he told his family that ” I have been your guardian. If this government kills me unjustly, then that will be a death of martyrdom. After my martyrdom, Allah the Almighty will be your guardian. He is the best of guardians. So you have no reason to worry” This is a real reflection of spiritual training that this great leader had in his life time. This show is deep reliance in Allah. This shows that he had firm conviction Allah alone. He repeated that ”I am totally innocent. They are killing me only because of my involvement with the Islamic movement. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a death of martyrdom. Whoever is blessed with martyrdom by Allah is indeed a fortunate person. If I receive the martyrdom then that will be the greatest achievement of my life. Every single drop of my blood will speed up the advance of the Islamic movement and will cause the destruction of the oppressor. I am not worried about myself. I am concerned about the future of the country and the Islamic movement. To the best of my knowledge, I have never done anything wrong. I have dedicated my whole life to the Islamic movement for the salvation my people of Bangladesh. I have never bowed down to injustice, and will never do so in the future. It is out of question to seek forgiveness/clemency to any worldly person. Allah is the owner of the life. Only Allah will decide how I would die. My death will not happen according to the decision of any other person. The time and the manner of my death will happen only according the decision of Allah. So, I will accept the decision from Allah happily”

This is very much similar to words of Shaheed Sayed Qutub who was executed by Egyptian dictator in 1966. Qutub died without any fear of execution and in the same way Shaheed meet his Lord with smiling face indeed it is his famous words that not everyone gets such honor of martyrdom. Hundreds of authentic Hadiths and many Quranic verses tell us the blessing and good ending of martyrdom. No doubt that every human being on this earth is going to face death one day and this is the reality of life and each one of had to face death whether we like it or not and yet, to die in the path of Islamic mission innocently is a great sacrifice according the teaching of the Quran and Hadith. Unfortunately these secularists Muslim rulers and government do not understand Islamic missions that Islamic workers are doing. They feel threaten with the resurgence of Islamic awakening in Muslims world. That is why these hypo static leaders hate true Islamic movements in the Muslims world.

Sheikh Haseena you may think that by executing this innocent Islamic worker you have done some patriotic jobs for your country and yet, in the Day of Judgment Allah will question you about this innocent soul you authorized to hang him? On that day no one will intercede for you and none of your political thugs will come to support you in front of Allah and your secular judges who pass this cruel verdict would not come to support you on that day in front of Allah. Be prepared to meet Allah with innocent blood in your hands.
